Time could not be more critical than in the event of a stroke; thus, the adage Time is Brain. The dedication it took for Milford Regional to receive certification as a Primary Stroke Center is evident again in the Medical Center’s acquisition of a software  program that, in conjunction with the scanners, provides an immediate work up on stroke patients within 15 minutes. As the scanner provides detailed images of blood flowing through the brain, the software program pinpoints the tissue damaged by the stroke. The faster the diagnosis, the quicker the course of action.
