Personally Speaking

As a hands-on learner and former athlete, the reconstruction of functional anatomy drew me into orthopedics. I'm also constantly intrigued by the technological innovations in the field. These points are no more salient than in hip and knee replacement. Most importantly, though, I can think of little else more rewarding than allowing someone to walk again after years of debilitating arthritic pain.

While hip and knee replacement surgery is becoming increasingly high-volume and regimented, every patient is different. I focus on assuring each patient's care is personalized in order to achieve the best outcome for them.  Although a surgeon’s profession is extremely challenging, I love what I do and don't see it as "work." I feel this allows me to fully focus on my patients, tackle obstacles head-on, and constantly learn new things.

In my spare time, I like to exercise, fish off of Cape Cod, hike, ski, watch Boston/New England sports, and spend time with my family.
