Learn what to expect during the labor and delivery process in this virtual, interactive class led by our instructor, Melissa Anne DuBois, RN, BSN, CCE, CLC. This class is easily accessible via computer or smart phone.
The Prepared Childbirth Class provides you with the information you'll need to be an active participant in your maternity care by making informed decisions for you and your baby. Better than any book, this class is taught by a dynamic, engaging, experienced and fun childbirth educator!

- A "toolbox" of comfort measures and positions for labor & birth

A link to the class and instructions on how to participate will be sent to you 48 hours in advance of the class. During the online classes, you be able to interact with other participants and the instructor and ask the instructor questions in real time! This class is open to all expectant parents, regardless of where you plan to deliver, as most of the information is general to a hospital labor & delivery experience.
Melissa Anne DuBois, RN, BSN, CCE, CLC
Melissa graduated from the UMass Amherst School of Nursing in 2006 and has worked in various high & low risk labor and delivery, OBGYN and mother-baby settings since 2007. She is also a certified childbirth educator and certified lactation counselor. Her professional interests include natural childbirth and labor support, breastfeeding, infertility, postpartum depression and contraceptive education. She is passionate about teaching new parents how to have a safe, positive and empowering birth experience and thrive during their first year of parenting.
Melissa loves ethnic food, tea, cooking, scrapbooking and dressing up for theme parties. She lives in Millbury with her husband, three children and crazy dog.
