Updated Masking Guidelines for Patients and Visitors
The rates of influenza and other acute respiratory diseases locally and statewide have decreased substantially enough for us to de-escalate our masking guidelines. Effective immediately, we are implementing the following changes for our patients and visitors:
- Patients with any symptoms of a respiratory infection are required to wear a facility issued face mask in all areas of our facility but may remove them once in a private treatment room.
- Patients and visitors without symptoms are strongly encouraged, but not required, to wear a facility issued face mask.
If rates of respiratory viral illness increase again, we may consider additional masking requirements.
