We are currently in the middle of a busy respiratory virus season. Effective immediately, UMass Memorial Health - Milford Regional Medical Center is implementing the following changes to masking for the protection of our patients, visitors, and staff.

 

Patients with any symptoms of a respiratory infection are required to wear a facility issued face mask in all areas of the Medical Center but may remove them once in a private treatment room.

 

Patients and visitors without symptoms are strongly encouraged, but not required, to wear a facility issued face mask.

 

We will reassess the status of this change in two weeks. At that time, we will determine whether to continue this guidance.  Additionally, if rates of respiratory viral illness increase further, we may consider additional masking requirements.
