Pilates is a unique form of exercise that focuses on core stability while using controlled movement to condition the whole body. Emphasis is placed on breath awareness, while maintaining a dynamic flow of movement around a stable spine. Pilates is designed to restore balance and improve control of your body both mentally and physically. The repertoire consists of exercises that promote elongated and toned muscles, while emphasizing the body's core through stabilization of the pelvis, ribcage and shoulder girdle. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. A towel or mat can be used if desired.
