This full day program covers physical and emotional changes during pregnancy, nutrition, signs and stages of labor, true and false labor, anesthesia choices, breathing techniques, information about birth by cesarean section and a tour of the Maternity Center. It also includes the American Heart Association CPR for Family and Friends/Infant CPR course. Participants will learn infant CPR and skills for relief of choking, how to recognize the signs of life-threatening emergencies in infants, reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and prevent common injuries in infants.
There will be a lunch break and you can either bring a lunch or dine in our cafeteria.
Please bring 3 pillows for relaxation and positioning.
