Milford Regional Fundraiser Supports Intensive Care Unit

Milford Regional Medical Center’s annual Mélange fundraising event, held at EMC Corporation in Hopkinton on Saturday evening, October 27, was a huge success. Over $600,000 was raised to support a new intensive care unit, which is part of Milford Regional’s $40 million building expansion project.

Close to 400 guests attended the evening extravaganza called Cirque Du Mélange. They enjoyed fine cuisine, a live band, the spectacle of jugglers, fire spinners, and the breathtaking performance of an aerialist. Guests had the opportunity to bid on 14 auction items that ranged from a Patriots/Celtics/Bruins sports package to a trip to Paris. More than 40 area businesses sponsored the event including EMC as lead sponsor and host.

“I cannot say enough about the incredible support the community and area businesses demonstrated at this year’s Mélange,” says Francis M. Saba, CEO of Milford Regional. “Their commitment to our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services is an inspiration to each and every one of us at Milford Regional. We could not have come this far without them. Our partnership has made Milford Regional the outstanding regional healthcare system we are today.”

Milford Regional’s $40 million building expansion project includes a new emergency department, intensive care unit and additional patient rooms.
