Healthcare organizations play critical roles in providing preventive health and wellness programs to meet community needs—and Milford Regional takes that commitment to heart.
Community Benefits Mission Statement
Milford Regional Medical Center is dedicated to the improvement of community health through leadership and effective partnership to promote wellness and eliminate health disparities in our service area.
We affirm the World Health Organization’s broad definition of health as “a state of complete, physical, mental, and social well being and not merely the absence of disease.”
Milford Regional’s Community Benefits program responds to the Community Health Needs Assessment of our service area commissioned by Community Partners for Health/CHNA6, and to health priorities for the Commonwealth identified by the Massachusetts Attorney General. These include:
- Supporting Healthcare Reform and reducing health disparities
- Addressing adolescent risk factors
- Chronic disease management in disadvantaged populations
We work with community partners to address unmet health needs in our service area, with a particular focus on the uninsured, elders, adolescents and immigrants.
If you’d like to share a community health need or would like more information call 508-422-2167.
