Our Cancer Program Grows!
It’s been a little over one year since the Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center opened its doors and the response from the community has been tremendous. In order to meet increasing demand, Medical Oncologists Mona Kaddis, MD, and Michael Constantine, MD, of Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center, are now joined by the following:
Medical Oncologist Naeem Tahir, MD, from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute sees patients full-time at the Milford location.
Medical Oncologist, Breast Oncology Service, Beth Overmoyer, MD, from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is available at the Cancer Center once a week. She specializes in the treatment of breast cancer and evaluation of patients with a high risk of developing breast cancer.
Gastroenterology (GI) Surgical Oncologist Richard Swanson, MD, from Brigham and Women’s Hospital is available at the Cancer Center twice a month. He focuses on tumors of the pancreas, liver, biliary tree, and stomach.

OB/GYN Surgical Oncologist Neil Horowitz, MD, from Brigham
and Women’s Hospital sees patients at Milford Regional’s Women’s
Pavilion once a month.
Services at the Cancer Center are also expanding with a fixed PET/CT scanner now accessible inside the Cancer Center rather than in a mobile trailer which provided the service three times a week. This important, combined technology can pinpoint the anatomical location of cancer cells as well as their metabolic function.
