Bracelet for Sale to Support Milford Regional’s Oliva Patient
Comfort Fund
Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation and Oliva’s Gourmet Gifts recently unveiled the Comfort Bracelet as a way to support the local community through the Oliva Patient Comfort Fund. The Oliva Fund was established by the Foundation in August 2007 in honor of the Oliva Family. Donations to this fund help support expenses related to the comfort and care of cancer patients being treated at Milford Regional Medical Center or in the Cancer Center at Milford Regional as well as hospice care.
Since it was established, the Oliva Patient Comfort Fund has raised over $100,000 and supports patients and their families with cancer support groups, reflexology services in the Cancer Center, everyday living expenses of cancer patients, and the establishment of Milford’s new hospice program through the VNA and Hospice of Greater Milford.
The bracelets, designed locally by Gina Kovach, cost $10 and can be purchased at Oliva’s Gourmet Gifts at 85 East Main St. in Milford, or online. The bracelet will also be available for purchase in the Milford Regional Gift Shop in late August, after the completion of the Gift Shop renovation. Click here to purchase a bracelet.
