Tree of Life
Over 175 guests attended Milford Regional Medical Center’s recent Tree of Life event. This annual event is a celebration of life and a tribute for those who have survived cancer, who have battled the disease or who have been touched by cancer. Members of the community enjoyed entertainment provided by Brian Ahronian of Ahronian Productions. Brief comments were made by Milford Regional’s President and CEO, Frank Saba and oncologists Michael Constantine, MD, Tri-County Medical Associates. The group then moved outside along a path lit by tribute luminaries to the front of the Medical Center for the tree lighting ceremony. Each candle on the tree was a symbol to honor or remember a loved one affected by cancer. The tree will remain lit during the holiday season as a reminder of hope in the fight against cancer.
This year’s event raised over $9,300 to benefit the Community Cancer Care through the “Oliva Patient Comfort Fund.” This fund will assist oncology patients to purchase items to help make their lives more comfortable during their treatment here at the new Cancer Center.
