The Golden Age of Hollywood!
Saturday • April 12, 2008 • 6:00 PM
The Grand Ballroom at Milford Town Hall • 52 Main Street • Milford, MA
Spotlights, a red carpet and paparazzi greeted guests as they entered the Grand Ballroom at Milford Town Hall in celebration of the fourth annual fundraiser, Mélange — The Golden Age of Hollywood. The proceeds from this year’s event, close to $200,000, will benefit Milford Regional’s cardiovascular services. Not only were guests treated to vintage Hollywood martinis and visits from Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin, but they sampled delicious food and danced to the music of swing band Horns in the House. The evening wasn’t over, though. The Pointer Sisters brought down the house when Ruth Pointer and her daughter, Issa, belted out their favorites, inspiring guests to dance some more!
An important component of the evening was to honor the Gannett family for the work they have done to champion Milford Regional throughout the century. This family has continuously supported the Medical Center since its inception in 1903 and so richly deserved the accolades received during the evening.
