Physical therapy is designed to help patients develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout their life. Whether your movement and/or function is threatened by age, injury, disease or environmental factors, you can count on our physical therapists to provide personalized treatment that is both effective and compassionate. And it doesn’t matter how young or old you are because our physical therapists serve the orthopedic and neurological needs of all age groups. Plus, you’ll come to know your physical therapist well and visa versa because you’ll be cared for by the same physical therapist throughout your treatment!
Our services are also preventive, providing education and guidance before rather than after an injury. We give special attention to the prevention of injuries at home and in the workplace. This proactive care reduces the risk of sustaining future injuries and possible impairments.
Our affiliation with both a world-class medical center and cancer center allow us to provide the following special services…
Pre-operative and post-operative treatment/screenings. We are one of the few in the area that provides lymphatic therapy by certified therapists which includes compression, exercise and manual lymphatic drainage.
Upon entering our program, all patients (regardless of diagnosis) are screened for their risk of falling. We also perform wheelchair evaluations.
Therapists with advanced course work provide a multi-disciplinary, (PT, OT, Speech) comprehensive treatment for patients with a variety of neurological disorders. Milford Regional neurological clinicians keep us in tune with the patient’s medical management strategies.
For those suffering from vertigo, dizziness, or balance/gait disorders, we consult with a patient’s physician to plan treatment with a goal to eliminate or improve symptoms and improve balance and gait.
Our medical affiliation allows us to provide a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan, providing for all medical challenges being dealt with by a patient.
