Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Complex Opens in Milford
Milford Regional Medical Center announces the opening of a new 7,000 square foot rehabilitation and sports medicine complex conveniently located just down the street from the Medical Center on Cape Road (Route 140) in Milford. This new facility has a full line of leading edge equipment for sports medicine including this area’s only Trazer…a high-tech video game that connects strength training and aerobic conditioning to the functional requirements of work, leisure and sports activities.
Our highly qualified staff averages over 15 years of rehabilitation experience, and utilizes a unique, hands-on approach which makes each patient’s care one of a kind. Our patients benefit from a single therapist following a patient’s progress from the beginning to the end of their therapy.
“Our new rehabilitation complex was carefully designed to accommodate the varied needs of those we serve,” says Milford Regional President Edward J. Kelly. “We are pleased that the expansive new space allows us to provide expanded programming and services. In the ever-changing world of medicine, we recognize how important it is to always provide leading-edge technology and care. I know our rehabilitation staff is excited about this and what it will mean to our patients.”
Our other two locations also provide the same unbeatable combination of sports medicine expertise and equipment. Our Whitinsville site is currently undergoing an expansion which will almost triple the space, allowing for a larger gym and several more treatment rooms. Our third location in Franklin continues to offer outstanding rehabilitation care and is conveniently located right off Route 495.
In addition to physical therapy and sports medicine, all three locations offer occupational therapy. The Milford site currently offers speech therapy and Whitinsville will also provide speech therapy after the renovation is completed.
